There are a number of rules behind why an order can or cannot be modified, below is an overview of these, however, it is important to understand that these rules are applied in a combined basis and not in isolation.
What type of orders can I modify?
It will be possible to modify the following types of orders;
· Standard orders placed either over the telephone or by fax or email.
· InTouch orders.
· Integrated (EDI/XML) orders – however, it is not possible to increase quantities to existing order lines or add new products to these order types.
Are there any order types that cannot be modified?
Yes, you will not be able to modify any of the following order types;
· Credit card orders (placed manually or via InTouch).
· Project orders.
· Consignment orders.
· Third party orders (orders where product is ordered back to back from vendors)
· Stocking orders.
· Configuration orders.
What type of modifications can I do online?
Dependant upon some basic rules, it is possible to make the following modifications to your orders;
· Reduction of quantities or cancellation of order lines.
· Add direct replacements when original items is non-deliverable.
· Releasing orders with ‘complete delivery only’ status to ship products as and when they become available.
· Replacing EOL products in orders if there is a specified replacement product available.
· Cancelling EOL products in orders.
Can I modify orders that have been shipped?
It is not possible to modify orders where all lines have been shipped, or have a status of ‘completed’.
Can I modify orders that have part shipped?
Yes, based on the combination of the rules outlined on this page, it will be possible to modify order lines that are fully open or part shipped.
